The Course
In recent years, derivatives have emerged as important tools for optimising return and managing risk in a very wide range of investment portfolios. Yet used inappropriately or without proper controls they can have precisely the reverse effect to that intended - sometimes with catastrophic results. This course gives a thorough grounding in the various types of derivatives and their markets, their use and abuse in investment strategies and the effect and limitations of regulatory and accounting regulations and procedures. Many worked examples are used throughout the day to support and illustrate the presentation and discussion material.
